The Beauty of Hell...

Article 1 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights - also known as my personal life motto!

All Human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood.

Who I am...

I am a wife. I am a mother. I am a survivor.
My family has made me who I am...my past family with past hurts...my current family with current joy.
Family is something you are born into and cannot choose,
family is also what you choose it to be once you are old enough to start anew...

The Contest Update

Well, the inevitable is upon us; Santa will be here soon and our pocketbooks will be empty!  As 2011 winds down, we have time to visit with loved ones and reflect on our past year.  My past year included the start of this blog, "for real"; and a desperate move to down-size for the sanity of my husband and family.  I'm sure 2012 will be just as momentous; it seems I don't have any years that aren't so anymore.

As the year closes, please remember: You have a fantastic opportunity to win some great prizes with my Spreading Holiday Cheer Story Contest (click that link for all the glorious details!).

As of right now, Briane Pagel over at his blog Thinking the Lion, is the major frontrunner (he's also the ONLY entry) buy you HAVE got to check out his story!  The link takes you to the FIRST installment, READ THEM ALL!  He is funny and quirky and has me LMAO with every new part he posts.

Thank you Mr. Pagel for not only participating, but for the gusto with which you have taken the gauntlet and created some HI-larious story telling, as well as the shout-outs to me!  You truly ROCK! :)

I am currently in the midst of my baking extravaganza; cookies, liquor balls, cakes, and pot luck dishes galore!  So this will be my final post before the 26th of December.

To all of you this holiday season, I wish you a joyful, peaceful time to reflect and enjoy those that matter the most to you - whoever they may be; hold them close and tight.

Peace out! ;)
