Oh! My! God!
Ok, my life has turned into writing whenever I can sneak it in...I'm at 15000 words and I'm seeing by other's blog posts that I'm falling behind. I guess there is a contest to see who finishes first? I didn't know that. So, writing my novel is numero uno priority right now.
But wanted to mention just a few things...
Do you remember my amazingly talented, wonderful, drop-dead gorgeous husband that was scape-goated by a huge asshole a few weeks ago? If not, you can read about it here. Well, he is SO awesome; that he just got a job offer from another company and they want to pay him WAY more money! Whoo HOO! Yeah, it kinda rocks. :)
Next, my kids went through a bit of a speed bump with archery - they were both whining and having issues, I don't know why...but this weekend they both rocked and made me proud and so...
Not only are they just awesome, all around awesome; but they totally support me writing and are giving me the space I need to do that. My kids were even bragging at archery that "Mommy is a writer, writing a real book and everything". I felt bad when they got bummed, I told them they cannot read it. ;) Now my daughter is trying to negotiate with me, "When I'm 15 can I read it?" Then I say, "Uh, no."
She finally realized that I can't tell her NO at 18, so that's her plan...when she turns 18 she gets to read mommy's book. She's too funny.
Well, that's all for my ramblings...
Back to writing my NaNo book! :)

Decisions, Decisions, Decisions
I've got so much to say! So many ideas are bouncing around in my head (not to mention what the voices have on their agenda!), and I have no time to sit down and write them down. I'm seriously bummed right now. I feel guilty for not posting and I feel even more guilty that I haven't had time to sit and read all my favorite blogs!
So I have to make some changes because I hold myself to unrealistic goals sometimes and I've come to view the blogging and reading of the blogs as an obligation that I have NO TIME to accomplish. Realistically, I do have the time - maybe not every day, maybe not every other day; but I have to stop being ridiculous in the expectations department. If I post a couple times a week, the readers will understand and be supportive...right?
So I'm making some changes...
I've decided to post regularly only twice a week. I've got too much going on right now for a bigger commitment and I want to keep to a schedule that is manageable. This way, I won't feel guilty about the days I miss, and I can focus on reading all the wonderful blogs I can't read now...
My daughter's first archery tournament is this Saturday.
We have been living and breathing archery the past week in preparation and as a result, Mommy has neglected her writing. Why is it that moms always sacrifice themselves/their dreams/their hopes for the children? Oh, I'm feeling it right now.

Sibling Rivalry
My daughter began archery this summer, my son instantly wanted to take part as well. After watching how dedicated she is, taking her to daily coaching and practice sessions; it became apparent that not only is she gifted in this sport - she is passionate about it.
Olivia researched archery as a sport and discovered that not only are there national and international competitions, Archery is an Olympic event. Going to the Olympics has become her goal. She talks about it non-stop, asking her father and I "when I go to the Olympics, will you both be there?" Notice she does not say "IF" but "WHEN".
So now my son is also shooting. He is really gifted and passionate about it too. Last week their coach told my husband a funny story. It seems that Olivia was talking about "when" she goes to the Olympics and Topher said, "Sissy, wouldn't it be funny if I made it to the Olympics before you?" Their coach began laughing his ass off! Olivia was not too happy, but Topher was not trying to be snide - he was honestly asking her if it would be funny...she did not see the humor.
Ah! Sibling Rivalry at its best!
