The Beauty of Hell...

Article 1 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights - also known as my personal life motto!

All Human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood.

Who I am...

I am a wife. I am a mother. I am a survivor.
My family has made me who I am...my past family with past hurts...my current family with current joy.
Family is something you are born into and cannot choose,
family is also what you choose it to be once you are old enough to start anew...

The Contest Final Update

Well, everyone...all I can say is WOW!  The quality of writing I've seen so far, has simply blown my mind.  In addition, my own personal cheer leading squad emerged last week with @MichaelOffutt (also known as the Supra Genius!), @whyIhatepeople (Briane Pagel: Thinking the Lions), and @pdilloway (Patrick Dilloway, also known as the Grumpy Bulldog) blowing my contest up on Twitter!  Thank you guys for being excited about this and spreading the word, you are truly awesome - even if Briane dragged you other two kicking and screaming ;)  I Totally Appreciate YOU and think YOU are FANTABULOUS!

Everyone else: CLICK ON THOSE LINKS! You will find yourselves on each lovely man's blog reading their fantastic entry into this contest!

Also, shout outs to Christine Rains, who helped even out the testosterone overload with a sweet romance-with-a-twist story; and the latest entry I've received from Aaron at The Blogger Girlz.  I've got to say, the entries make me rethink whether I have ANY "write" to think I can write!  UGH!  (I know, I shouldn't have gone there; but I haven't had a good night sleep in over a week and I'm a bit punchy).

SO, PLEASE REMEMBER...DEADLINE TO ENTER IS 11:59 P.M. PST DECEMBER 31, 2011.  I'd love to get some more entries, please continue to pass the word along...

Stay tuned for my own dark story...I'll be posting it on Friday (and no, I'm not entering my own contest!)

Cheers to you all!

  1. Glad you're getting a lot of entries.

    Is G finally sleeping?

  2. Glad you've had some entrants! Sorry, too many scheduled posts this month to make it fit. Part of my goal for next year - just say no to some requests.

  3. I saw that Blogger GRLZ entry and am in awe of that, too.

I kind of took all but the original post off of my site now, because technically I did not think I met the qualifications to enter and also technically I turned my entry into an Ebook:

So my official entry is still right here:

But people who want to read the remainder of the story are going to have to fork over $0.99 for it.

Unless people ask me nicely, in which case I will maybe put it on Scribd for free for a bit.

  4. The truth in any of this is that Pagel likes to hear himself talk and is looking for an audience 24/7 to make sure people are listening to him.

  5. YAY! Glad you've got the entries coming in. Sounds like you've got your hands full with some great reads.

  6. I'm glad your contest is successful. I haven't quite given up hope of being able to enter :-)

  7. Wasn't sure where to post my entry, so here is my second go:
